I would like to start this thread for support for the latest version of GameZone (v0.23)

Available for download from here:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/GameZone

There are two main features that I can remember, sorry but I suck at version control..

1. As suggested by McBainUK: I have removed the automatic intallation of ePSXe after initial install and provided an install button in the config applet instead.

2. As suggested by Fuzzweed: I have changed Mame from showing the filename (without the extension) to the descriptive name. for this to work you must click the "Build ROM Database" in the config applet.

Thanks goto anybody providing feedback both negative and constructive. A special Thanks goes to McBainUK for his Database generator class that he wrote for me - Cheers!

It came to my notice a day or so ago that the Community Skin plugin now supports GameZone and its Awesome, I suggest you take a look at it and play with all the Skinning options it provides.

Please post all support questions, wishlist features and other comments about GameZone here.

Thanks

I installed GameZone and went to the Config applet to configure MAME and my roms. When I try to close the config I get the Unhandled error exception report...

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

Hi Zehd,

Thanks for your error report.

I have attached what I believe to be a fixed plugin for you to try. copy the GameZone.DLL into your plugin directory and restart GBPVR.

The error will only affect people that have never had ePSXe or Gamezone installed prior to GameZone v0.23

If this fixes the issue then I will update the wiki version.

Thanks

idkpmiller,

I have done what you had suggested with regards to .23a, restarting GB and still, I get an error when I try to launch Play Games. See screen shot below. Could it be a configuration error on my end? By the way, great work so far!

Jason.

Hi Jbanera,

You didnt say what you were trying to do, I will have a guess that you tried to select the Mame emulator within GBPVR and that you have either not configured the paths for mame correctly or you didnt press the "build ROM Database" button in the config app prior to trying to run Mame.

Can you let me know the sequence of events that led to the "reference not set" error.

Thanks

I hope it works for you, seems to be a few bugs that have crept in :-(
Let me know how it goes.

Cheers

I get the same "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when I try to start Game Zone with the Community Skin but it works fine with the Blue skin.

I'll look into the Community Skin issue.

Can you repeat error and attach your gbpvr.exe.log file?
