Hi,

I have released an upgrade to GameZone here is the version changes

* Added Sega emulator - Kega Fusion
* Added more checks in config applet
* Added tooltips - mouse hover provides info
* Added Screensaver support feature, now GameZone disables the screensaver prior to playing a game and enables after you finish playing
* Added autochecking for plugins for the epsxe plugin combo boxes
* Added centralised ROM Path list this allows multiple paths to be setup for all emulators (Excludes My Programs)
* Removed Directx - this may return at a later time
* Ongoing Code clean up

Can be downloaded from:

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/GameZone

Please provide feedback, requests for features, bug reports in this thread as it helps me locate any discussion quickly as I subscribe to this thread.

Enjoy

:o

Thanks for the words of encouragement, much appreciated.

Is the centralised paths (you can have multiples for each emulator) better than before in your opinion?

I am still intending to add full subdirectory support but it means me working out quite a few details.

another feature I am toying with is to add a ToP Ten played game to the first menu , this would keep track of all your games that you play and then add the top ten easily to hand, this can be really usefull if you have over 70 pages of games :-( and you hate going through page after page to get to the same game.

Typically I will work on bug fixes and features for the next two weeks or so and then the last two weeks I will add the next emulator, of course this all depends on work and believe me its getting BUSY Sad

I haven't gotten a chance to test the new version, but the new additions sound hot. Esspecially the addition of Kega Fusion.

I think the Top Ten menu would be a great idea. I loaded my PVR with emulators and all the roms for all the old vintage game systems (ie. Mame, Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis) so scrolling through pages of roms is a pain in the arse.

Good luck on the subdirectory support. I can't wait till its finished and I can use GameZone to run all my emulators (and completely eliminate my keyboard and mouse).

Just for my interest when are you having to currently use a keyboard or mouse for emulators at the moment, (Other than initial setup)?

could you provide examples?
and which remote do you have if its not the Microsoft MCE one.

Thanks

I am ready for a few people to test the latest version of GameZone (0.31) this has the "Favourites" feature added and although I have a small problem with the Mame Database (with a workround) it is ready for othere to try.

Please PM me if you have some time to test and let me know

1. which emulators you have enabled and use in GameZone, the more the merrier.
2. An email address I can send the update and instructions.

Thanks

Any chance of adding zsnes9x and/or pinmame? Both are excellent.

Hi well according to the POLL

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=22841

The Amiga, Snes , Other and C= 64 are all tying with a pitiful 3 votes each.

The Other doesnt count as only one person has actually defined what they meant by other.

As my kids are happy with what they currently have I will add one of the remaining three. I will check out Zsnes which I have looked at briefly before, I am well aware of the Amiga winuae as I use it myself on occasions - I am also awre that it will take some real thought to integrate it into GameZone, if anyone has seen winuae integrated into a PVR frontend let me know it could inspire me.

it would seem to be between Sne and C=64 which is added next, make your votes count and add your opinion to the Poll
