Commercial Advance--how good?

Hi,

I'd like to setup a GBPVR system but before I do, can anyone point me to discussions about its commercial advance feature? How good is it? Is it as good as ReplayTV's?

I've never used ReplayTV, so I cant tell you how good it is in comparison. Personally I think it does a very good job. It does depend where in the world you are though, and which channels you're watching though, as some channels have better characteristics that can be used to identify ad breaks.

Comskip which is used for commercial detection with GB-PVR, is very tweakable and can be configured to work well with most channels.

Also, I'm not sure what you're experience level is and how easily you can set it up. To be honest, it is extremely easy to set up, and this coming from a noob/novice. I find that in my area and on my channels it works great without tweaking. I hope this helps.
