poor quality on a client

I have a client set up and can watch both liveTV and recordings. However, the quality seems to be very poor. I have attached a screen shot. I have tried different muxes, streaming, file sharing etc and still get the poor quality. Any idea why ?

If you copy the mpeg file across how does it display from outside gbpvr?

Looks flawless.

It can only really be related to the video decoder, video render, or desktop colour depth (looks like dithered 8bit instead of 32bit - but probably not).
