Hey sub,
Any way you would allow .bat files to be custom tasks? I have some programs I would like to launch through gbpvr but they can only be launched from the folder the exe is located in. I would rather not move them into the gbpvr folder since there are other files that need to be moved other then the exe and I don't want to start adding a bunch of stuff to the gbpvr installation folder.

Thanks,
Carlito

I also remember someone saying they had a program to convert bat to exe
This could also work but I can't seem to find a free program that will let me do this. Does anyone know of one?

I'm sure you'd be able to point Windows cmd.exe and specify the batch file name for a /C or /K parameter or something like that.

the browse button of the custom task only looks for *exe, but if you type in the absolute directory of the *.bat file it will see it.

I use AutoIt3 - it does not convert normal BAT files to EXE, but it's a small scripting language (looks like BASIC) that can be compiled to EXE.

If you just use the cmd.exe I think you get the ugly black screen (if it bothers you). Those compiled script languages create win32 EXE.

I tried that but it didn't seem to want to run the batch script. I think gbpvr must call cmd.exe to execute the custom task.

Yeah, I get a black screen but it doesn't bother me too much since it's only up for a second before the other program launches.

Thanks for the info on AutoIt. I'll check it out.
