I am trying to set up the Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB 2 and getting no place with the set up. I followed the instructions and Zapit tells me I am set up wrong. I tried following the instructions but since this is a USB device how do I get the gbpvr to recognize it and how do I tune the channels. I have Comcast and get standard channels with the device.

When you create you capture source, next to the 'Recording Source' setting (set to 'Direct Recording Plugin') click the settings button, then tick the 'only show devices detected in this machine' check box. That should select your WinTV PVR USB2.

With your 'Epg Source' setting set to zap2it, and configured with your username/password, if you hit the 'Update EPG' does it return an error? If so, zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I also have an internal pci HDTV card in my computer that I have disabled. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and Media Center picks up the Hauppauge tuner fine but not the external Hauppauge. I would gladly zip up the log files but which files am I looking for? Normally log files have an *.log extension but I can't find any of these in my system

Do you have the drivers installed? If so, and its not appearing in GB-PVR, can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Sorry if you did not get it. I just installed Windows Vista and I forgot to install a Zip program. Here is the log.
