Hi,

I just did a search for "Friday Night Lights" which got a hit on ITV4 for tonight. (This is via the GBPVR interface, not the web interface).

So, i clicked the show, then told it to record all shows. But when i looked in pending recordings it didn't appear. As it turns out i don't actually have any tuners set up to record ITV4! I think it was down to a crap signal quality on that channel. Anyway, this sounds like a bug to me.

Also, while i'm here, I get odd things happening on some freeview recordings. The forward/back skip doesn't work reliably. Sometimes when i skip back, it actually skips forwards. Another thing is that i sometimes miss a few seconds of the show. I haven't tried viewing the bogus recordings in VLC or something PC based, rather than on the MVPs.

Could any of this "wierdness" be fixed by using something like retime?

Many thanks.

FYI, I get this too, occasionally, but I only watch on the computer. This happens rarely enough for me not to have investigated it further. My thoughts have been one of
a) bad reception signal
b) bad mux
c) bad drivers (I use the nova-t-usb2, by the way).

Like you, I haven't tried watching the recording with another decoder, but I doubt that would help.
I'm not always right
