I just started using gbpvr and really like the interface. I am having some problems setting up the guide. I am in the us and and using zap2it for dishnetwork. After I update the guide there are many channels missing from the listing. Is there a way to correct this information. Thanx all. Also I already have a zap2it account setup. Thanx

The most common cause of this is duplicate entries in your channel lineup. When you log into http://labs.zap2it.com and view your channel lineup, you'll probably find the channels that are missing are actually duplicated somewhere else in your line up. For example, channel 5 and 905 might be the same channel.

In this situation, GB-PVR only shows the one with the highest number.

To correct it, disable all the 9xx duplicates (or what ever they are for your tv lineup) on the http://labs.zap2it.com web channel lineup, then delete and recreate your GB-PVR capture source.

I tried what you recommended and after a little tweaking it seems to be working. Another problem encountered was that I tried to clear all the channels and save as if there was no guide to start fresh. I put in some channels from the dish lineup and encountered this problem. I selected channels from 100 to 150 and when I look at the channel list in gbpvr and it goes from channel 100 to 150 and the next channel is channel 109 then goes to 100 again. Hopefully I'm clear with this problem. Hope you can help. Thanx.

The easiest way to start from scratch is to copy the empty.db3 over the gbpvr.db3 file, in effect starting from a blank database.

I did this yesterday and it wiped out all of my capture card settings, etc. Is there a way to wipe out just the schedule stuff from the db3 file, or a tool to view the db3 file so one can manually modify it? I've been poking around on the mySQL and Microsoft sites for SQL database viewing tools, but haven't found one yet.

There is lots of tools for editing SQLite databases, but I obviously dont advocate it often since its bound to lead to users breaking things.

A couple are SQLite Express and SQLiteSpy.

Yes, possibly. Usually zap2it users wouldnt have to fiddle with the channel order manually, but if you have had a few goes at getting you channel lineup in there, then you may already have channels that have been allocated the preferred channel numbers.

Starting from clean with the duplicates disabled in the channel lineup is probably the easiest way to make sure its right.
