Can some one help with a question?

I have DirMon2 running ShowAnalyzer to identify commercials/ads.
ShowAnalyzer creates three files-
a VPRJ file.
mpg.chapters.xml
mpg. text document
and places these files in the directory with the mpg file.

My question is--When I use GBPVR to re-play the mpg will it use these files and omit the commercials/ads during the re-play?

ShowAnalyzer used to produce a .txt file with the ad locations. If it still produces this, then GB-PVR will use it to automatically skin the commercials during playback.

If it is producing a .txt file, but not auto-skipping during playback, then post the contents od the .txt file and I'll take a look.

If you are getting the right files there is also a config setting that says whether it will autoskip commercials. I think it is under misc. You can toggle autoskip on/off with 999. If it is off, then hitting play during the commercial will skip to the end of the commercial.

sub & pastro

ShowAnalyzer is creating a text file. I'm watching a program now on Australia for about 10 minutes in GBPVR and I haven't seen a commercial YET. So everything seem to be working.

I assume that IF I continue to view my recordings with GBPVR; I can erase ALL FILES EXCEPT the original MPG & the TEXT file.

IS this a correct assumption.

THANKS to you both for your help.

If you pause playback (or press Ctrl-b), the timeline shown at the top of the screen shows darker sections during the timeline to represent commercial breaks.

Sub,
I'm still having problems with GBPVR not skipping the commercials. See attached file.

Play the file in GB-PVR then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

The textfile looks healthy enough. Just like the ones that are working for me here. Is the textfile the exact same name as the recording except for the extension? (It needs to be). I find the name a bit odd compared to the filenames I get here, but that may be because of how your EPG data looks.

Another thing: I'm not really sure why you use dirmon to run SA?

I have SA run as part of postprocessing. It works like a charm, and it's native to GBPVR as opposed to have dirmon running constantly watching what's going on. Seems to me you could avoid dirmon alltogether, or am I missing something?

If you do have a filename issue as suggested above, dirmon may be the culprit. Try the postprocessing option and see if it does what you need.

nia,

I have Dirmon2 running it because I had purchased BeyondTV, VideoRedo and ShowAnalyzer, quite a while before I ever knew anything about GBPVR.

I'm using GBPVR for EVERYTHING but TV.
Photos, Music, Weather, Cinema and Mail.

Sub,

Will view the program and send logs as soon as I can this evening.
Yes, the text file is named the same as the mpg.
