I'm still setting up GBPVR on my new Media Centre PC, and it's going better than I thought it would!
But, when watching Live TV, if I move the mouse or use the Microsoft MCE remote (to change the volume, channel, etc.) the picture breaks up and stutters for around 5-10 seconds before returning to normal.

Anyone any ideas? I'm, using a Compro T200 card and the Nvidia graphics support built onto the Asrock motherboard.

Thanks

What speed PC do you have? This typcially happens for people when there PC isnt able to keep up. You may find switching to the Overlay renderer helps, since it uses less CPU.

It's an AMD64 x2 3800+, 1Gb DDR2 (128Mb allocated to video), 500Gb SATA2 HD.

I tried Overlay but it didn't make any difference. There's nothing else running on the PC either. The other thing I've notices is that the channel changes are very slow. I tried some recordings, and while they were in progress I did all sorts of stuff on the PC but the recording came out perfect.

I'm not really sure. That machine should be fine (assuming you're not using an S3 Virge video card Big Grin ).

Make sure you dont use VMR9 Custom or VMR9 FSE on a second monitor, since these depend on hardware acceleration usually only available on first monitor.

Could it be down to the nvidia 6100 graphics chipset that's on my motherboard? Or maybe that I've only allocated 128Mb to it?

6100 would be fine for standard definition stuff.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll check out what directshow filters are being used.

Thanks,
Which logs do you need, all of them?

gbpvr.exe-mative.log would be the most useful.

Ok, I changed channels and increased/decreased the volume a few times before copying the log file. Hope this helps.

This happens occasionally on my system as well. Haven't determined a cause or fix for certain yet. You might want to try the quartz.dll patch see the sticky thread below. My system is pretty similar to your pc, spec wise. Should be plenty of horsepower.

If I keep having it I probably try newer drivers for my hauppage card once I am sure there is nothing else to do.
