I have been successful with running GBPVR on one of my PCs. I built another PC and loaded GBPVR 99.12. I coped videos over and when I go to play some video content, it crashes GBPVR. I tried to change the video render and got mixed results, all crashing GBPVR. The videos play from Windows Media Player.

Logs are attached

Any help would be appreciated,

Benjamin

I'm guessing its something to do with these "RAVISENT Cinemaster" decoders you're using. I'm not aware of anyone using these decoders.

looks like it was possibly installed with the ati dvd player software. I removed it and now when I click on an mpeg nothing happens. Is that because i have no decoder now? I didn't have this trouble with the other PC. I guess the PVR-150 installs a nice decoder. This machine is acting as a client and plays only local media. I have attached another log from when I tried to play the MPEG.

Thanks,

Benjamin

Its hard to tell from the logs, but it could be a lack of MPEG2 decoder causing this. Do you have any video decoders listed on the playback tab of the config app? If so, which do you have selected? Best to not select 'system default'.

Thanks, it looks like my problem now is no MPEG decoder since none are listed in the playback tab except for 'system default'. I was looking online for a decoder. There are a lot of freeware/shareware ones with a lot of advertisements. I always worry about spyware. Any suggestion on which decoder works the best in your experience with GBPVR?

You can get a decent free one from either http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm or http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Dsca...ilters.htm
