I have 2 ATI theater 550 based cards installed (ATI TV Wonder Elite and VisionTek ATI 550). For some reason recording 2 shows at the same time does not work. Any ideas??

They setup is as follows:

Theater550-1 Direct Recording plugin Zap2it
Theater550-2 Direct Recording Plugin Zap2it

For some reason it will create the folders in my main folder directory with the appropriate show name, but it will only start creating the mpeg file in 1 of the 2 folders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

People often have problems with two 550 Pro devices in the same machine. The drivers seem a bit flaky for combining two of these.

You could try setting <AutoDetectEncoderMethod>0</AutoDetectEncoderMethod> in config.xml. It might help.

After many attempts at recording 2 shows at the same time, I have seen something strange that may help someone out there come up with a solution.

Seems that when I record 2 shows at the same time, the first 5 or so seconds of the recording will be of 1 show, and the rest of the file will be of the 2nd show. Seems that instead of making the 2 separate files, this program and the tv cards are combining the 2 shows into 1 single file.

Any ideas out there would be GREATLY appreciated.

cdogg77, I worked on this problem for about eight hours. I gave up. Selling an ATI card on ebay and spending a few bucks on a Hauppauge card is easier than trying to resolve this. ATI 550 cards don't like each other.
