My guide is messed up, I have tried updating it manually and it was a no go.

GBPVR V.96
*I know its old but I can't get software recorder to work with anything newer. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."*

Its got new mixed with old. For example "House" was on last night the description matched perfectly. Today Getting ready to record "Mythbusters" but it look like an old episode. But what caught my eye was what was on now, "It takes a theif" which never matched the description, nor did the next episode. Then came on "How It's made" that didn't matched either so I check some other channels, some matched, some didn't.

Then at the end of the guide I have two gaping sections for the E! channel It suppose to be on 65 *which it actually says channel number but its at then end of guide.

Last Sunday night, just a few hours before "Battlestar Galactica' I noticed it was going to fail the recording because it had two over lapping section about "Battlestar Galactica" with the same description.

So how do I fix it?

If doing an 'empty epg' followed by an 'update epg' doesnt work, then you might need to look at upgrading. If you still have the problem with v0.99.12, then I'll look into it.

Using the 'empty epg' button in your capture source settings. If you have multiple capture sources, do the 'empty epg' on them all first.

Since I have 2 tuners, I should do this?
  • Edit tuner #1
  • Click "Empty EPG" button, click OK
  • Edit tuner #2
  • Click "Empty EPG" button, click OK
  • Edit either tuner
  • Click "Update EPG" button, click OK

And this populates EPG data correctly for both tuners?

Yes, assuming they have the same channel lineup. If they have different lineups, then you'll need to do an update epg on both at the end.

I think it's best to remind the user of just that after doing a "restore tuners from backup". If you remove the tuners, it doesn't remove the channel lineup? The box below the tuner data in the "Edit Recording Source" dialog, with all of the channels and checkboxes? I haven't removed a Capture Source yet, so I don't know what happens when I do remove it, and I can't remember what it was like when I first added them Smile

Ok, thats fixed the accuracies problem.

But now I'm still having the gap in the guide.

Here's an example.

Its not a big deal, I can live with it. Just wondering if theres a fix for it?

I'm guessing the ETV channel has either been removed or renamed. Go into the capture source channel list and uncheck the 'enabled' tickbox for the channel. If it was a rename, you'll most likely find the new channel listed at the end of the channel list, and you'll most likely need to correct its channel number (and in the main channel list tab aswell).
