EPG Data from DVB-S in the UK (Sky)

As a DVB-S user in the UK and with the problems that have recently been happening with getting EPG data off the radio times web page. I wondered if it would be possible to get the EPG data from the DVB-S stream.

Here in the UK the broadcaster is SKY and I believe that the EPG data is transmitted in a separate stream to the channel that you are watching.

Would this is be possible?

GB-PVR already has the option to use the DVB EPG stream, but it will only work if they use the standard DVB method, not some proprietary mechanism. I'm not sure what SKY in the UK does.
