I've got the basic 99.12 install working (with the memory leak and duplcate epg patches - very worthwhile) and it more or less did exactly what I wanted it to do. However, I then added a couple of Xvid AVIs to my video folder and installed the latest Xvid codec (1.1.2). The Xvids played perfectly, but then I went to play a DVD and I just got a blank screen. When I un-install the Xvid codec, I can play DVDs again!

Anyone got any ideas how I can play both?

What decoders do you have selected on the DVD tab of the config app? Dont use 'system default'.

Sorry, I meant to include that info. I have:
Navigator: 'DVD Navigator'
Video Decoder: 'DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder'
Audio Decoder: 'System Default'
Audio Renderer: 'System Default'

And in the playback tab:
Hardware decoder device: 'None - use software decoder'
Video Decoder, Audio Decoder, Audio Renderer: all 'System Default'
Video Renderer: 'VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive'

Try without using system default, then post the logs if its still a problem.

Well, that seemed to do the trick - I thought I'd tried that already. I also changed the audio decoders/renderers from System Default - would that affect it? For info, my current (working) settings are:

DVD Tab
Navigator: 'DVD Navigator'
Video Decoder: 'DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder'
Audio Decoder: 'DScaler Audio Decoder'
Audio Renderer: 'DirectSound SoundMax Digital Audio'

Playback Tab:
Hardware decoder device: 'None - use software decoder'
Video Decoder: 'DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder'
Audio Decoder: 'DScaler Audio Decoder'
Audio Renderer: 'DirectSound SoundMax Digital Audio'
Video Renderer: 'VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive'

Many thanks indeed.
