Intallation error - Unhandled exception

I have had rebuild my system. I have Win2000 installed. Installed the prereqs. When I install 99.12, I get the installation compete dialog but then I get an error dialog from MS .NET Framework. Unhanded exception occurred in your application. Quit uninstalls. Continue invokes the configurator but that program gives the same .NET error.

Some win2000 users have to install MDAC 2.6 or above, update WMP, possibly install DirectX9?

MDAC 2.6 is already installed. Don't know what WMP is. Are previous releases of the code available?

Dragging this up from the dead, I find that I this error everytime I try to exit gbpvr.

Further searching leads me to Unhandled exceptions cause ASP.NET-based applications to unexpectedly quit in the .NET Framework 2.0 I am runing xp pro sp2 and there is no mention of it being w2k specific that I can tell.

It is not a huge thing since I am trying to exit gbpvr anyways and it appears to start right back up when I want it to. But it seems to be an inconvienance.
