Hi,

I recently switched from using a PVR150 to a Nova-T-USB2 (i.e. analog to DVB-T) for TV capture.

I want to record in mpeg rather than dvr-ms format so I have installed the Intervideo BDA MUX and selected this in the config app Miscelaneous tab.

I tried this out last night but it seems to produce mpeg files which play audio but no video in GBPVR. I have tried playing these files in WMP and the result is the same.

I don't think it is a playback issue as the old mpeg recordings I made with the PVR150 still play fine in GBPVR. I have also tried all of the mpeg decoders installed on my machine and none seem to resolve the problem.

Can anyone help?

thanks.

A lot of people have found the Indervideo mux to be a problem. The general concensus seems to be that using a Cyberlink mux is the best way to go. Search the forums for a source of the latest version.

If you have the Cyberlink mux you could also try dvr-ms recordings with auto-convert to MPEG2 format (set for ASAP when transcoding). That's what I do. There are one or two disadvantages, e.g., watching a programme using an MVP while it's recording can be a problem sometimes and if you want to watch it shortly after it has recorded, you might need to wait maybe 5 mins to ensure the transcode has taken place (depending on the length of the recording).

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I am having real difficulty getting hold of the Cyberlink MUX. It doesn't seem to be available from the Twinhan download site anymore. I tried Googling the file name (THMpgMux.ax) and this didn't yield any useful links.

Any idea where I might get it from?

thanks.

I've no idea how I missed that thread in my search!

Thanks - the MUX is installed and working now.
