I record a show, and before it's done airing, I start watching it from the beginning. I can FF, RW, and pause correctly, but if I press catch-up (ctrl-o), I have a really long pause (10-20 seconds) before the the picture unfreezes and resumes at the point where it is currently airing. Is this normal?

By the way, this problem is with a P4 2.4, ATI 9550, and ATI Theater 550. There are no long delays at any other time.

Its not normal. Nothing springs to mind as a cause, but reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can spot anything.

Last night, I started playing a show at the beginning, after it had been recording for almost an hour. I pressed "catch-up," and it paused for over a minute until I finally pressed stop. The length of pause seems to be related to how much time difference there is between your current viewing point and the time remaining until the catch-up point. Anyway, it took too long so I pressed stop, exited gbpvr, and zipped the logs.

it also happens on mine, seems like the video is reporting a longer time than is actually recorded, so pressing catch-up goes to where it thinks the end is, but it's really past the end, so it waits till the real end catches up to where you ff'd to..then it plays..

so, say i've been watchin a show for 25 mins in timeshift, the osd reports 28, and when i use catch-up, it scoots me to 28 mins, and of course that video hasn't been recorded yet,[only 25 mins so far] so it waits till it gets to 28 mins recorded then plays...

haven't had this problem with .99.5

seems the longer the show is, the more off it is at end...[always about 1 minute long per/about 10 mins]
ex: 1 hr show looks like it's 1:06 but is really only 60 mins, and after recording is done, it shows correct timeline..

I started noticing it during this release. Sometimes when I pause live tv, if I let it sit too long, it takes a long time to continue, if it all. Sometimes if I hit the skip back button, it starts playing. When I do this w/ a recording video, stop it, and start again, the time is way off.

It doesn't happen w/ stuff that has finished recording and I watch later.

This still doesn't seem to be fixed in 1.0.16. To reproduce this bug:
1) record live tv
2) escape back to the main menu after 10 minutes (or more), but don't stop the recording
3) go back to watching the recording, and when prompted restart it from the beginning
4) catch-up (ctrl-o)

At this point, there will be a very long pause before being able to watch your recorded show. The total recording time will also be incorrect.

Sub, could you comment as to whether or not this might be fixed soon? Thanks.
