Vista x64 - Pinnacle 310i - No Picture

Windows Vista x64 Business
AMD 4400+ X2
2Gb RAM
Pinnacle 310i ("PCTV Hybrid Pro PCI"), a dual Analogue/Digital TV Card.
GB-PVR v0.99.12


I'm using the BDA Recording Plugin, and I have managed to tune in all the channels, but when I go to Live TV, the window goes black and nothing happens.

Occasionally I get Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object, but not very often. The TV Guide also has no content, despite the XML file having the correct info.

Any ideas?

Hi if you goto GBPVR config and select the channel tab, make a note of a channel number, of one of your scanned channels, go back into live tv type that channel number in.
then press ctrl and O, these will bring the signal strenth up, to check you have got a good signal

Tried, but nothing appears onscreen, it just stays black.

Anything else I can try? The signal should be good, I can watch TV fine under XP with the Pinnacle software.

what have you live pre delay set to in the gbpvr config, playback tab? also try changing the mpeg2 software and video render to other options, also found in playback tab.

delay is set to 0, tried all the combinations I could.

Saw this in the logs, is this the problem?

There is no indication of any errors in the logs, but the device is failing to ever lock onto a signal.

I tried changing drivers from the Windows Update supplied ones to the ones on the Pinnacle site, but now GB-PVR no longer detects the device.

The name changed from "Pinnacle PCTV 310i Capture Device" to "Pinnacle PCTV 310i PAL Stereo DVB-T Capture Device". Do I need to change something in bda.ini?

Its probably changed the names. If you run filtercheck, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log it produces: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6[/quote], then I'll create the new bda.ini entry for you.
