Odd, this worked OK this morning... ??
I now get this thrown in PVRX2.exe.log (at least 3 instances in that log, all smae type), it never gets to show TV? This was after a reboot of the PC.

[EDIT]However after closing down GBPVR servcies for log capture and then restarting config.exe, it works

It looks like your recording service isnt running, or a software firewall is stopping PVRX2 from communicating with the recording service.

Colour is looking a bit washed out in places and not like the screen shot at

I have just installed latest drivers for my NVidia FX 5200 card and run through the "display optimisation wizard".

Any ideas?

Can you zip and attach your C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\TV Guide\skin.xml file?

Ah, apologies, I hi-jacked this thread by mistake with my colour question, will send skin.xml in the next 14 hours. Have installed PVRX2 on another computer with a more recent NVidia graphics card and an LCD monitor and the colours look OK.

My other problem is related to this thread. If I set up a computer with GB-PVR in client mode (which has the LCD monitor) using Streaming I find Live TV / TV through schedule works, but recordings do not play. If I set up for File sharing recordings play but Live TV does not work. On the separate Media Server computer (spec. in signature) I have set Live TV play delay to the maximum 4000ms, same on client PC.

If I set up for file sharing, select Live TV, I get the "time shift mode TV starting" screen for a few seconds then it returns to the menu. Looking at the logs (will attach in next 14 hours, I'm at work right now) server and client, no errors, no sign of VMR6?9? not supported messages. Have also used FilterCheck.zip and it checks out OK.
Comparing the logs for a recording play and a failed live TV play, it almost looks like the Live TV play via file sharing reaches the end of the file and terminates normally before I actually see anything.

Once I'm sure I can get all this working will definitely be donating, GBPVR is great!
Adrian.

Ok, I'm guessing your video card is too old and doesnt support hardware transparency. Sorry.

Reproduce this problem, then zip and the logs for both client and server, and I'll take a look.

With respect to client server mode - Live TV and Recording playback issues and attached logs :

1. Client and server - Live TV pre-play delay 4000ms
2. Client configured to act as client Using "Streaming"
3. Live TV mode entered at 23:02 (takes about 8 seconds to come up)
4. This works OK.
5. Stop, play a Recording "CSI Miami..." at 23:03
6. This does not work - give up after 1 minute of black screen, Exit PVRX2.

7. Client configured to act as client Using "File Sharing".
8. Live TV mode entered at 23:05, returns to menu after a few seconds, this does not work.
9. Play a Recording "CSI Miami..." at 23:06
10. This works though aspect ratio is not right, image is stretched vertically. Aspect ration was OK when playing Live TV above.
Server set to 4:3, monitor is 4:3, original transmission may have been wider aspect than 4:3, not sure if 16:9.

Also on the Client TV Schedule EPG program names / descriptions are not displayed, correct program times are shown on the timeline.
EPG works OK on the server.
Using complete EPG reload - EPG comes from DVB transmission (UK).

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\TV Guide\skin.xml file also attached, it is the standard installed file. If there is an element colour I can change to get better contrast in the abscence of transparency support on graphics card that would be fine. I'll have a quick look myself now.
Colours look OK with my "client" computer fitted with NVidia GeForce 6800 graphics card. Colours not right on the "server" fitted with NVidia GeForce FX 5200 card. Both have 256MB RAM.

Cheers
Adrian.

In the skin.xml played around with brightenCurrentShowsPercent a bit before suddenly realising the colours are fine this evening on both computers with the original 16 percent
<Placement name="Listings" loc="25,15" size="70,63" rows="7" brightenCurrentShowsPercent="16"/>
Oh well..

If I open the tv guide, and try to watch a show if I hit enter it will go to a black blank screen and nothing shows. If I use the mouse it simply returns to the main menu. Then when I try to close the program by hitting the exit button I get an error as well. I just applied all the patches and something doesn't seem to be working correctly. Beforehand, the problem I was having was that it wouldn't wake from the standby mode to record programs. Thoughts?
