Any clues as to why I get
Quote:
The graph failed to load
Class not registered (Return code: 0x80040154)
from graphedit when I try to open lastgraph?

gbpvr.exec-native.log shows
Quote:
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE - DirectSound: Realtek HD Audio rear output
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE - ffdshow Video Decoder
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE - AC3Filter
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE - T:\The Hitlist On Demand\test.mpg
2007-07-15 23:38:19.015 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles)
I tried Re-RegisterFilters but no joy

T: is indeed a network drive, but I don't think it affects the problem - gbpvr plays the file. It's just that I can't look at lastgraph with graphedit - suggests something not quite right with my system?

Its fairly normal that you cant open lastgraph.grf. Often the graph will contain dynamically created components that the system wont be able to find if you try to load the file in GraphEdit.

OK so OP nothing to worry about - thanks for that. Smile

not something I've come across yet while trying to figure out directshow - is this a sub thing or a standard directshow thing?

Lots of Directshow apps dont need to do this, but it still fairly standard Directshow stuff. Some times filters are just privately exposed by an application when they're needed, rather than creating .ax files that can be used by other apps. (lots of overheads that are not really required)

and this would also improve the predictability of your resulting graph - very interesting. Thanks for taking the time to answer my daft questions...Wink
