unable to get TV wonder 650 to work with GB-PVR

I tried following the setup guide from a thread in this site.

i got to the capture sources tab and added a digital source. the recording source is digital recording plugin. the setting for the device type is ATI 650 Pro (QAM). device number 1. type ATSC.

I tried using XMLTV as my EPG but it doesn't look like it has comcast listing for USA pacific region, only directv so i couldnt use it. I tried then to scan for the digital channels but i got no channels.

the coax is plugged into the DTV port of my video card.

if i instead plug the coax into analog port then i could use tuningassistant.exe to get some of my analog channels but i want the digital channels. help?

what drivers ya using? i found the only ones that work for dual recording were the ones on my cd that came with it...cat 8.11 for xp and vista/7..
couldn't even find it for download.
all the others wouldn't allow simultaneous recording..which it does...
[but not the pci version,only pcie ver is dual]

cool. i used that program to generate the xml file. the dialog says specifically comcast cable so i am pretty sure it 's the correct xml file.

the thing is after i inserted that file into the program and try to map it. the scanning isnt picking up on any channels.

any one knows why?

Thats normal. The tuning assistant is only for analog channels.

The tuning assistant is actually a stand alone utility, not not related to GB-PVR, and doesnt change anything about GB-PVR. Its just for helping some European users understand what frequencies their channels are broadcast on. Its of no use in North America, so you shouldnt be using it.

You scan for digital channels by click 'map digital channels to epg channels' in the capture source settings.

I clicked on that, when it scans for channels nothing shows up. I have the coax plugged into the DTV plug of my tuner card.

Post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.
