Custom Tasks in 1.0.8

Are custom tasks working in 1.0.8? I've added a few to the list but they don't show up in the menu on the MVP or on the PC. They do appear in the list in the config app. Thanks!

No, sorry. These only exist in the old interface at this stage. I will add them into the new interface at some stage, but I couldnt tell you when that will be exactly. (not many people use them, and I have higher priority things to do beforehand)

As an alternative, is anyone aware of a plugin that will execute external commands? I couldn't find one in the wiki.

To tell the truth, I have not tested it myself yet, but I am going to, as I used the custom tasks very extensively with the previous version. Hopefully they will be added soon, but I understand very well if some other more PVR-related issues have higher priority.
