PreConversion tasks?

I use the 'autoconvert' option to transcode dvr-ms files to mpeg2 immediately after the recording ends (using ASAP for the conversion time).

I'd like to run a utility to process the dvr-ms file BEFORE the conversion starts and, although there's the option to use a PostConversion.bat file, there isn't one for PreConversion so...

Does the PostProcessing.bat file get run after the recording finishes and before an auto-conversion starts, i.e., would the auto-transcode wait for PostProcessing.bat to complete before starting?

No, unfortunately those tasks arent synchronised.

If you can use the utility on a .mpg file, then it might be worth running it from PostConversion.bat?

No, that's exactly what I can't do - lol.

I'm consistently seeing AV sync. issues with mpegs created from dvr-ms recordings with some channels (all on the same MUX) - I'm fairly convinced this could be because the dvr-ms metadata for the AV stream characteristics doesn't match the stream payloads so I want to tweak the metadata before conversion.

I guess the only way is to disable auto-transcode and transcode manually from PostProcessing.bat after tweaking the metadata.
