Not sure where to begin. Well I'm new here to using GB-PVR after having switched from MediaPortal, and very glad that I did. However, I'm noticing a few things that are not quite working so well and not sure whether it's a bug or some other sort of problem.

I'm currently running v99.12 with the Resume-Fix patch and the Recording-Service patch, so not sure if other people who've used this version are running into the same problems. I'm controlling my STB through the S-VIDEO connection of my HVR-1600. My video-out is going through to my TV through an S-VIDEO connection. I haven't been able to find any posts that talk to the same thing.

1) Standby / Wake Issue: When I run GB in full screen mode and the system goes into standby, upon resume the video / screen is completely messed up displaying a black screen that has the display showing black and white floating strips (not sure if that's a good description). But, when I don't run GB in full screen mode, the system returns from standby without any problems. Image displays on my TV without any issues. If GB-PVR is not running, it is also fine when returning out of standby. My first guess is that it has something to do with the full screen mode of GB.

2) Live TV / Recording Colour Saturation: I notice that when I watch Live TV or any recordings that the colour seems to be off. The reds are over-exposed so everyone looks like they're sun-burned (kinda funny), but I can't seem to adjust the picture colour in any way on GB. When I watch the same show through WinTV, it's normal.

3) GB Does not Wake for Recordings: I did searches and found a ton of info, but I still can't seem to get anything to work. Basically, I tried to schedule recordings for later so that when my PC is in standby, it will wake to record. For whatever reason, GB does not send any wake command to wake the PC. When I schedule a task for a later time, the PC wakes no problem.

TIA for the help and great program. Hopefully someone has some brilliant insight on how I can get things to work properly.

I have been able to resolve the problems in relation to my issue with the Standby / Wake issue, which also appears to have solved my issue with GB not waking up for recordings. Guess I figured things out on my own. Now if I can solve my colour issue, I'll be set.

I've got the same motherboard (Asus M2NPV-VM with nVidia 6150 video) and am also suffering from a similar problem. Sometimes, when my PC wakes up from standby the TV-out is corrupted (blackwhite garbage with diagonal stripes); I don't know about the normal video output since I don't have a monitor connected. I would like to hear what you did so solve your problem.

I have some workarounds, but neither is really nice:
1) VNC into the PC and change/set the resolution; this seems to reinitialise the video chip
2) Suspend it and wake it up again; most of the times the video is ok after that

It seems that the problem typically occurs after a GBPVR induced standby. This is typical in my case, since it updates the TV guide every day at 8 in the morning (an XMLTV update is scheduled at 7). Does anyone know whether GBPVR standby is different from a power-button-induced one?

A related issue may be the fact that the TV out settings sometimes seem to go back from PAL (which I use) to NTSC. My TV is capable of showing both, but the PAL quality is just a lot better. Any suggestions on how to make the PAL settings stick are greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I just gave up trying to figure out what went wrong and did a brand new install of the entire system. I did a few things to adjust the colour before rebuilding the box, mine was a test box.

I did update the NVIDIA drivers to the 162.18 from the site. Reset all driver settings to default and started adjustments all over again.

I upgraded GBPVR to v1.0.8, then to v1.0.16 when it came out.

Installed PureVideo, ran live TV and adjusted the colour from the feed while the Live TV was playing so that I could get a good picture. Was able to reduce the saturation and made people more normal looking, but colours like yellow and green appear to be a bit dull. I was ok with that since they weren't super red. Purevideo is set to anamorphic, prefer VM9. GBPVR is set to VMR9 Custom.

I'm still working on trying to figure out how to suspend then wake from standby consistently. It works to some extent, but every now and again it doesn't want to wake. Sometimes when it wakes and then never goes back to sleep. So I guess I'm back at where I started and haven't quite figured out the wake issue I had before. Now I'm running 1.0.16 cause everyone seemed to be on there, so I figured issues could be easier to resolve; we'll see. I'm using S3 standby.

All video settings when waking seem to be working properly now, so not sure whether I did anything different.
