Doing some upgrades on gbpvr and ran into the following problem.

1. Decided I would try out 1.08. It installed okay but for some reason the Harmony 880 I was using was very slow to respond (turned out not to be a gbpvr problem but because I had both Girder and the Hauppauge remote sensor active!)

2. Before I worked that out tried to back out 1.08 by installing an earlier version. Not good - got an error in the config application during installation.

3. After some much mucking about, including repairing and removing gbpvr and removing its registry entries (only those in HKLM and HKCU Software) and then installing 1.08 again, got it all working

But it made me think - is there a way to remove gbpvr and all traces (including all registry entries) to get a clean installation?

Thanks

You should be able to uninstall, then delete the c:\program files\devnz directory.

Well what I think I did was

1. Install 1.08. Looked okay but it didn't seem to work (turned out not to be 1.08)

2. Installed an earlier version on top of it. The installation crashed with a Config error (can't remember the number) and left 1.08 still there. When starting gbpvr received the stock Object Reference etc. - click away that and it sort of still worked

3. Tried to install 1.08 again and it popped up asking for Remove Repair etc. Chose remove which seemed to work

4. Then tried the earlier version but the same crash

5. Tried 1.08 again and this time it worked okay

All a bit messy but perhaps I should have not rushed so much!
