Hi there,

I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction for fixing this problem, i installed gbpvr today and set it up with my Tv card

(Kworld DVB-T 100)

Its not a very good card but i was hoping this program would work better than others. I scanned for channels and updated the EPG, when i click "Map digital channels to EPG channels" i can watch tv in that video preview and hear it, my problem is when i click live tv within GBPVR and PVRx2 , now i dont know the difference between them but i know that it doesnt work in both. in GBPVR when i click it, the status changes to a file name suggesting its starting to play livetv. Then after a few seconds it goes back to sleeping and displays an error (the title of this thread)

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Running gbpvr version: v.1.0.8

Thankyou. Smile

Update: After messing with some settings, i seem to have made problems worse, i cannot scan for channels without it crashing therefore see no preview, i cannot remember the original decoder settings to see if this is the problem..

Are you able to watch live tv if you enable live preview mode in the config app (lower left on misc tab)?

I've just enabled it now, but i re-installed.

Im just trying to search for channels now but im not having much luck. Every now and again ill pick up a random channel like bbc1 or something like that.

Just going to check the cable again to make sure its not come loose or something stupid.

It appears not to be finding anything during this search, it also keeps coming up with the windows "send error report" when im scanning now. Not sure what to try next..

Ill post back soon.

I still cant find any channels, the mysterious thing is, if i set it to scan the whole of the UK, it claims it always has signal and some quality, now thats impossible.

(note this is digital tv using the bda)

I cant be picking up every singal transmitter in the UK..

Zip and attach the logs and I'll see anything stands out to me.

Sorry, I dont know. There is no sign of any problems in that scan, just fails to find any channels. I suspect the device isnt supplying any data.

correct!

i turned off my pc and left it for 10 mins, then turned it back on, and enabled the option you told me to, i scanned for channels then it stopped again, so i did it again and now im watching tv! Big Grin

To be honest, i need a nice new card (had this one a while, worked in vista but now im back on xp) as this one has obviously had it. But for now its working Smile

Thankyou for all your help!
