It'll handle it more gracefully in the next release, but basically its saying your videocard doesnt support the required VMR9 renderer.

I'm seeing this error using an old 3dfx voodoo card as well. This is disappointing. Am I to understand correctly that moving forward beyond the 1.0.8 release, I will not be able to run gbpvr? I must invest in a new card? My wife will kill me. I just bought the PVR150 and MediaMVP. I'm trying to find a DirectX 9 compatible card on eBay. Can you confirm that I am on the right track?

Correct. To run GB-PVR's new interface on your PC will require a VMR9 compatible card. You're welcome to stick with 0.99.12 if your hardware is powerful enough to run newer versions of GB-PVR. That said, a 3dfx voodoo is pretty old now.

You wont need to upgrade your video card if you're just using your MVP for viewing the interface. Its only an issue when you're running on your PC.
