I installed the upgrade, I was able to configure everything, but now when I run PVRX2 I see the menu selections, but when I click on a selection, it appears for a moment and then goes back to the menu. If I try to goto Live TV it says I do not have any tuner cards setup, but they were there when I went through the config. I am unsure of what to do. I tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling but it still has the same problem. I am using an ATI Theater 550 Pro running Windows XP Professional.

When I go to recording staus I just get the bar nothing below it.

When I run the config utility it takes a very long time to save the file and exit once I press OK. When I go back in it is like I never configured it. I can see that it is writing the file config.xml each time I run the config utility.

Any help would be welcome.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs.

It looks like you've got a database from a previous release. I'm guessing this is because you've tried to copy your old v0.99.12 gbpvr.db3 database into the v1.0.8 directory. You shouldnt have done this.

I originally performed an upgrade as specified on the download page by backing up the 3 listed files. After I had the problem as described above I unistalled everything and reinstalled. If I need to uninstall and delete certain other files just let me know which ones and I will give it a try.

The easiest fix is to uninstall, delete the gbpvr directory, reinstall 1.0.9, then recreate your capture sources and reschedule your recordings again (ie, effectively starting from scratch).

If you really want to retain your data, then uninstall, reinstall v0.99.12 (or whatever version you were previously using), then copy the gbpvr.db3 and config.xml file from the backup, then upgrade to 1.0.8 again. (After upgrade do not copy any of your v0.99.12 files over the versions created by the update)
