Anyone else having any problems with coming out of standby or hibernate in 1.0.16? As sub knows all too well (!) it's been one of my bugbears for a while trying to get this to work with FSE mode but now in the latest version I only get a black screen and a mouse pointer after coming out of standby or hibernate.

Sorry for not being any more specific or posting logs etc at this stage, the wife wanted to watch the TV and kicked me off!

In FSE mode it should automatically restart the application when you come out of hibernate/standby. Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Same problem here - and no TV-watching wife. Wink See logs attached.

What makes things worse is that I cannot close pvrx2 with the esc key as earlier with gbpvr. But the new graphical interface is definitely worth the trouble. Big Grin

Try dropping the attached file into the gbpvr directory, then try again.

I dropped the file and everything works perfectly. No errors or warnings in the logs either.
Thanks a lot!

I'm not sure why, but something different about your setup is causing Windows to not notify the PVRX2 that is activated, which means you're missing this very important message in your logs:

Quote:2007-08-14 19:43:50.437 VERBOSE [1] Got WM_ACTIVATEAPP after return from low power state...
Its when this WM_ACTIVATEAPP message is received that the restart occurs.

Its almost like something has stolen the focus? Do you have any other stuff that runs at wake up?

I still have this issue and cant find any focus related issues.

1 thing that might be worth a mention is that when restarting from standby it does take 20+ seconds before I get any response from the remote.

I run a NovaT-USB2 as my main capture device and IR reciever, maybe being a usb device its taking a long time to re-init after standby and preventing gbpvr from getting the focus.

Maybe you could change the delay app so its possible for the user to configure the time delay, maybe I just need to increas it on my system?

I might experiment with hibernate instead and see if this improves things, I was using standby rather than hibernate as the boot time is quicker, but since I have the 20 second pause for controller input hibernate may end up quicker.

Thanks

Bob
