There are utilities out there to grab program images to be used with GBPVR. Some work only with certain plugins. Is there a document or thread that shows you how to get these program images to be used in the standard GBPVR screens. I have the images working for each directory for a particular show under recordings but after you enter the directory and each individual episode is shown no image is shown ( I know that they would all be the same image ).

I the guide you can select a show and see the details and there is a space for an image but nothing is displayed. Can GBPVR display an image for a show from the guide?

Any info about how to get GBPVR to display images would be wonderful. I love the program and this capability just adds a very poished look and feel to the app. Great work sub!

This is a bug that sub is looking into.
If it shows on the main folder then it's supposed to show for individual episodes as well.

What about the guide? Where do I put the image file so it shows up in the guide detail screen?

IIRC, name it folder.jpg for the pic to show up for folder of shows, and the exact filename_2007XXXX_xxxxxxxx.jpg for each individual show, and i think showname only[no time or date].jpg for the guide...all pics go in the show's folder...[like "Burn Notice.jpg" for guide]
[tho you might try putting a 'showname.jpg' [no dates] in the media folder..Smile

I have been using Carlito's ProgramImageTool utlility to grab the images and it puts them in the media/art folder. The file naming is 'showname.jpg'. They do not show up in the guide detail screen. I will try to move them up to the media folder and see what happens.

Does anyone know if this stuff has been documented?

My folder.jpg files show fine for the directory of each program but after you select the directory each individual episode has no image.

I changed showname.jpg to folder.jpg and put it in the directory for the recording. It shows up as one image when I enter the directory from the recordings menu. How did you get it to show up on the directory name, or does it only show up on the video library page for the recording?

The file name "folder.jpg" is the actual name of the file. Do not use the foler name like "24.jpg". Inside the 24 folder you will have a file named "folder.jpg" plus all your recordings. That will show the image for the directory but not the individual episodes. The showname.jpg file that actually use the filename of the shows recording .jpg may use the graphic for the episode. Not sure not tried that yet.

To actually see the program images in the TV Guide, you need to install the TV Listings plugin. But it hasn't been updated to work with PVRX2 yet. I don't think the installed GBPVR TV Guide will show a program image when you look at the program info.

I tried to get images for my recordings, and when I put a "folder.jpg" in the folder of say "showname" (i.e. C:\Recordings\showname), all the recordings will have that image. But the main recordings screen will not have the image.

I haven't played with it all that much, but I have no idea how it is actually suppose to work. And if it's buggy, it makes it that much harder to figure out. It would be nice if it was documented in the wiki when it is fixed.
