Screen backed out in middle of playback

I'm using 99.12 set to VMRCustom using PureVideo decoder. Works fine until yesterday when I get the half the screen diagonally blacked out (right angle triangle) after about half an hour of playback. Any button/key will switch the blacked out area to different corners of the screen.

I have to shutdown, restart GPBPVR and then resume my show to fix the problem. Has anyone seen this problem before?

I've recently installed VLC to playback .m2t files which didn't work in GBPVR. Could that be the cause of the problem?

Its not in playback but any screen in GBPVR is half blacked out. See sceenshot attached.

thats just weird never seen that beofre or anything similar for that matter
almost looks like a test of some sort but after half and hour ??
i guess if vlc is the only thing you have installed or chanbed it may have changed something but i have it installed and it didnt do anything like that

graphics card overheating perhaps?

try it with the side/lid off

Thats a new one on me. I cant think how this would happen unless you video card is experiencing some problems.

My video card is a 6600GT. Don't have another one to try out but I switched the decoder to Cyberlink in the config and now I'm getting the attached screen i.e.not blacked out anymore but distorted.

is your windows desktop the same?
what driver version are you using?
you dont have desktop resize enabled or keystone coreection?

Maybe time to update your videocard drivers?

Just an update. gEd was right and the graphics card was overheating. Found that the fan on the video card died.
