Hello, I'm in need of some help getting gb pvr working right. I got a new capture card in hopes of some better usage than my old ati tv wonder card. it's an Aver m780 pci-e white box card. It took me quite a bit of time to get sound working when simply watching tv and now i'm on to getting records to work. I'm using version 1.0.16 of gb-pvr and the latest drivers and codecs I can find. presently cyberlink clvsd.ax version 6.0.0.1402 is my mpeg2 decoder. My primary issue is I have no audio on my recordings. The second issue I seem to have is pauses in the recording when playing it back. Without audio, I don't know if its simply video hanging up or if something else is going on.

Also, is there a way to autosplit recordings across multiple files?

welcome!

the forums gone a bit screwy at the moment.

have you explicitly set the video and audio decoders in the config?

zip and post your log files from the log folder (if the forum can handle it in it's present state)

I don't know of any way to auto split recordings. people use apps such as videoredo to split files without breaking the timeline.

what is the spec of your pc btw?

sorry, the forum didn't list any replies Smile Yes, I've tried various decoders specified. My concern with filesize is if I want to record for 6 hours I dont want a 20gb file when its done. I guess I can break it into multiple 1 hour record sessions which should give it separate names though.

PC is a homebrew Intel pentium D 3ghz dual core on an Intel 945GNT board 4gb ram, 1.5TB drive space Avermedia M780 tuner ( I do have an ATI TV wonder still in the machine too ), X-FI fatal1ty soundcard with breakout panel, Nvidia 512mb 8600GTS video, 16x LG dvdrw running winxp home

Originally I had hoped to be able to hook the cable straight into the pc and be able to get all my digital channels without the box, but apparently thats a no go so I've split the output from the box to the pc and a tv here in the room.
