I have an Ati 550 pro capture card. I have created three capture sources on this device:

1- the internal tuner with channels defined by schedule direct.
2- a composite source to wich I attribute channel zero, deleting all other channels.
3- an S-video source with only channel one.

Each of these sources works fine... seperately, and sometimes together. But if I tune channel 0 or channel 1, all other positions will show this channel unless I quit direct tv and come back (only if I leave while being on analog tv, say channel 2.

Another problem: I go to the tv guide, select channel 5 to record... and get the composite or s-video recorded instead.

Another one: no matter what setting I choose for playback, my 4X3 recordings will display in widescreen on my 16X9 tv... most of the times.

Finally, when I download my local Videotron schedule via MSN Listing Scraper, my channels shows in the right order an tune all right, but the french accents are replaced by other letters. Is there I way to correct this?

Thank you

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Press F7 until you're on the 'auto' aspect ratio.

For this to work you do need to have explicitly selected the video decoder on the playback tab of the config app rather than using 'system default'.

This is most likely because your scraper is not adding the appropriate xml header to the file.

Do you see any visual changes to the aspect ratio of the playing video when you press F7?

Sorry if wasn't clear. After unlocking the f-keys, I had all needed options to choose the good aspect ratio on the fly.

Hi Sub!

I continued my search for an intuitive solution and think I found my way.

Instead of deleting all other channels but channel 0 in my s-video settings and channel 1 in my composite settings, I simply disabled them after updating EPG. It seems to work fine, both in playback et recording modes.

I am surely not the first to mention this, but I prefer the mouse operation in the bg-pvr user interface. I don't mind to use my mouse instead of my harmony control, leaving it free for my pace terminal.

Thank you again

Richard
