I am still getting the error that says my epg source does not seem to be configured correctly. I paid for schedules direct and have an account but it still won't let me set it up. Please help new seasons are about to begin.

I can't help as I don;t use Schedules Direct.

However you might want to provide some details about your config and what you have setup so far. Also, zip and attach your log files from the log folder so others can take a look for you.

did you apply the SD patch that Sub uploaded to the 1.0.16 survival guide in the last day or so?

Yeah, zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Also please note the last entry in the survival guide thread:
Quote:An important change to the SchedulesDirect service

Up until a couple of days ago, Schedules Direct users were identified by a combination of email address and password, which are the fields collected in GB-PVR's Schedules Direct epg plugin. Under this old scheme the user's email address was their username. The Schedules Direct guys have now changed this and there is a separate username field.... so, just to confuse things you now need to enter your username in the field that's labeled 'email address'.

Users that created their SD accounts before this change will have a username that matches their email address.

I've updated the screen in the next release to say 'username' instead of 'email address'.

I can tell from the error message that you havnt applied the Schedules Direct patch from the survival guide thread, specifically this one: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=7

I am having the same problem with the configuration of epg. I get the error message that the source is not configured correctly. I tried using both the user name and email as log in. It tells me that the remote name 'datadirect.webservices.zapit.com' could not be resolved. From what I can determine from other posts I should not expect to see 'schedules direct' as as epg source. Right?

I moved the old GBPVRbackend.dll out and put the new in the main directory. It is possible that the recording service was still running when I did this.
Yesterday, I updated to the new 1.0 version (I cant view PVRX2).

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am leaving town tomorrow and the wife is wanting her PVR back.

Thanks

"datadirect.webservices.zap2it.com" is the URL from the old now-defunct zap2it service. Are you aware this service is gone, and that you'll need to switch your capture sources over to use either the Schedules Direct EPG source (and pay for account at www.schedulesdirect.org) or the XMLTV EPG source and some utility for generating xmltv files?

I have set up a 'schedules direct' account and created a line up. I was following the directions from the wiki but I do not see a option for it in the config file. What did I miss? I thought that maybe the new .dll provided a loader for them.

In your capture source settings, you need to check what your have your "EPG Source" set to. It needs to be set to "Schedules Direct". You need to be using the new 1.0.16 release to see this option though, since it is new and only just been added.
