Is there a way to get rid of this? I've tried using the configuration program and deselecting it in plugins and also tried marking it as "false" in the config.xml but it won't go away.

I'd also like to get rid of hibernate and standby in the System menu if soemone has some insight into that.

Thanks.

No there isnt, then this is on my list of things to do for the next release.

Sorry, no can do. It always shows all these options. This is not configurable.

I haven't tried to get "easyview" working but based on its description, I wondered if it had the hibernate, standby and exit options? Although its primary audience is children, nothing says that you couldn't give access to all programs if the only people using easyview were old enough.

There is no equivalent of it in PVRX2 yet, but it only really provided a bit of a preschool view... ie, no buttons, no menus etc, just a list that could have channel names, recording names and DVD names. The user can only press Up, Down or Enter.
