Sub, new version has been good...but I keep finding a few glitches just when I think I've got it all worked out. (I'm testing the other dongle you suggested on my post in the MVP section...thanks for responding). Just noticed this one, but if I schedule a show to record (quick record, or standard) it shows up in the pending list with the right channel...wrong show title. If I click it for more details, it shows the wrong title AND wrong channel. I did a test record and it actually recorded the right channel I wanted though.

I just switched off zap2it to the new schedules direct (i think that's the name)....this sound like an EPG issue?

*edit...just to clarify, I switched over to the newest version and from zap2it at the same time.....so I can't isolate which could have caused this.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. Also include some notes about what you tried to record, and what it showed up in the recordings screen as.

Before doing this, make sure you enable log flushing in the config app.

I have the same problem. I go to TV Guide, choose to record a show either by hitting the Record button, or hitting OK then selecting Quick Rec. It doesn't happen every time. If I set a recording for days in advance, then notice it happens after the show has recorded, won't it be pointless to grab the log files because they won't reflect when I scheduled the recording? Does something get logged every time a show is scheduled to record, and when the show starts recording?

I've done this wrong in the past....so I want to save you time and headache sub.

1. What logging level should I enable in config before I do this.
2. Log flushing is new to me, what does it do and do I need to do anything other than enable it?

Use the default 'debug' logging level and enable log flushing.

Story of my life....I can't duplicate the issue now. I even canceled the pending football game that was showing up wrong, and scheduled it again....IT WORKED!

I tried this 3 different times before and they all messed up...the only thing I've done since then is pull up config, switch the logging level, and check off log flushing.

I guess if it happens again I'll immediately grab all the logs and post it...sorry.

*edit....would you still be able to see anything from the logs on the mistakes from earlier, even though I've been in and changed the logging level and all? It was on "error" before

I get the feeling I know why it happened and suspect this patch would have fixed it: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=25

From the sound of it.... you aren't too sure about the patch. Would I be safer to just ignore this patch for now unless it happens again?

I use Acronis True Image (I'm sure you've probably heard of it), and if I need to apply the patch I'll just image my hard drive first...so if anything goes wrong I can drop the image back on in like 10 minutes and have it working again.

You'd be fine just to back up the files replaced by the patch. The patch itself is stable, but the very person that tries it may report that the application doesnt load because of some missing DLL dependency. If you dont get that error then it should be fine.
