When I select a program to watch from the TVGuide (or elsewhere), I get "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Logs are attached. Thanks for any suggestions! Wilf.

well what a coincidence... I've tried for several hours, but it appears that the only thing I did wrong in order to have the cards show livetv is to set the signal to "cable". When I set this to "antenna" it works. (weired anyway, because I have cable tv, and no antenna)....
no i haven't had gbpvr installed on this machine, yet. I ran them both in media portal - worked ok there, but I didn't like media portal so much, so I went to give gbpvr another try (used it ~2 yrs ago).
Both cards show up in the config as you described. The only confusing thing is that gbpvr config says that it also detects a pvr250 with FM radio, which I don't have.
I find it so difficult to match the right channels to the epg without the tuning assistant. That's one part I liked about media portal. My provider says that e.g. the station ARD is on channel S08 (I'm making it up here), and I thought I simply enter S08 in the channels list, but gbpvr wouldn't let me. I can only enter number-only channels (0,1,2,3,...)
I must apologize for the panic. I'm not getting this error any longer. Unfortunately, I've been changing settings frantically, so that's it's hard to say what the problem was. I suspect it may have to do with having selected the wrong "capture device #1, or #2".
I'm now getting live tv just fine.
The only thing that remains an issue is the tuning assistant crashing. It's a dreadful task to identify the right source channels for the tv programs, simply trial and error. I assume that the tuning assistant would help me with that.
Is there a methodology for deducting the "gbpvr source channel number" from what my cable provider specifies as Channel K01, k02, ...S01, S02,... ?
