Hey all,

I've been troubleshooting an issue with various EPG "scapers" and would like to see if anyone has a "working" xml file they wouldn't mind sending me so I can rule out at issues with my GBPVR configuration and focus on my XLM settings. Even a working area code and cable service would be helpful.

I seem to be able to generate a "good" xml file, at least when viewing it via Notepad, but after configuring my capture device to use xml, and pointing it to the egp file, flushing the EPG, and re importing the EPG, I only have channels listed as 1-17, and nothing under the TV Listing of GBPVR.

Any help would be appreciated.....

Do an import of your file (Update EPG) then zip and post your devnz\gbpvr\logs folder. It will tell what the error is.

I have been using the zap2xml.pl utility and I can tell you that i have found an issue with special characters in the xml strings causing the import to bomb.

See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=29656

I expect to have this resolved soon. Don't know if that is your issue or not, but hope that thread might help.

iojedi, thanks I'll head over to that tread and take a look.

whurlston, here are my log files and epg file created with zap2xml.

This was a fresh install of GBPVR with all DLL updates.

Any help would be appreciated!

Read the thread iojedi referenced. You have some duplicate channel IDs:

Quote:2007-09-20 16:37:08.359 ERROR [3] XMLTV: error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: 'I12475.labs.zap2it.com' Key being added: 'I12475.labs.zap2it.com'

Good catch! I should gave looked at that first. Anyways, I opened the file up in Notepad and deleted the duplicate ID then re-imported. Looks good so far!

FYI for anyone who cares, this was a comcast tv listing, and I know they have been moving channels around, which might explain the duplicate listings.

Thanks all
