I may be missing the obvious, but how do you play DIVX (AVI) on the MVP. All I have installed is GBPVR v1.0.16 and the Hauuapage Drivers for the PVR150, nothing else. Do I need to install another piece of software, or are there some settings I have to adjust? The MVP keeps crashing everytime I try to play different AVI movies. Any help would be much appreciated.

The MVP cant natively play divx files, so the app will try to 'on the fly' convert these files to an MPEG2 file for sending to the MVP. For this to work you do need a fast PC. You also need to make sure the recording and live tv directories are set to valid directories in the config app.

What CPU do you have in your PC?

Thanks sub. I have an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and a gig of memory - this should be sufficient, right? I should have mentioned this in the previous posting. I also have DIVX installed on this computer. My directories are set to F:\Recordings and that folder exists. This is killing me.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

Sub, here they are. The path for the recordings is Z:\ Recordings, not F:\. My mistake.

Is Z:\ a local physical drive, or a mapped network drive?

Unfortunately I couldnt see the info I was looking for in the logs. Can you enable log flushing in the config app, then reproduce the problem and repost the logs?

Z:\ is a local hard drive w/in the machine, not mapped or external.

I did what you asked and here are the logs again. I hope this helps. Thanks

Sorry, you're going to have to have another try at producing those logs. This time set the number of MVP servers to '1'. Only the first MVP server logs. Your second server must of had the problem so its not shown in the logs.

Hi Sub, sorry for taking so long to get back to you, I was out of town for a few days. Anyway, in the config, I set the renderer to VMR9 Custom, and that fixed the problem. I thought VMR9 was the default for PVRX2, but in reading other posts in the forum I discovered it was VMR9 Custom. Thanks for all of your help.
