Can I watch GBPVR recordings remotely

Can I use a 2nd computer in the house to function as an MVP?

I'm planning to use a Hauppauge MediaMVP for 1 remote TV but would like the same kind of remote functionality on a remote PC in the house.

You can use a second PC as a client in GBPVR. Install your main machine as the server, then install GBPVR on a second machine and set it as a client (you do this in the tab of the capture sources tab of the config utility. You need to make sure the second machine can access the recordings directory, live tv directory and database. Other than that, you're set!

Have a look around for details on GBPVR Client - which sets up a client machine to use your servers recording database and recordings directory.

One machine complains it doesn't have VMR9 - is this something that different drivers would solve or do I need to change the video card?

depends on the card
but try newer drivers first and install directx9
