Fresh Install of GBPVR:
  • established a ScheduleDirect account and configured my provider listings.
  • insatalled 1.0.16 and applied the epg related changes given in the survival guide
After setting up and saving my tuner card and ScheduleDIrect Source, I clicked on update epg in config, and received the attached error message:

I checked that the the account access information entered for ScheduleDirect in config was correct by using it to successfully access my account in Firefox.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Regards

Did you sign up in August? If so, did you login to schedules direct, read the new privacy policy and accept it? If not, your account will be suspended until you do. Schedules Direct did send en email to that effect but it was right near the beginning of September and easy to miss.

I was using Zap2It, but I am not getting EPG data anymore and figured from all the forum threads that they must have dropped support as of September. I just switched to Schedule Direct and I accepted all the agreements, but i am still getting that message.

IGNORE that!! Found the problem. I needed to login directly to configure my channel source, in my case just local over the air HD channels. Seems to work for the EPG data now, even though my digital channel mapping was for the original Zapt2It setup (which SchedulesDirect seems to be the same thing under new management). I did get some message when I tried to view directly from the Guide, saying the tuner was no available due to it being used for a recording (which it wasn't), but I was able to view it when I used "Live TV" instead.

I was getting the same error. It turned out I capitalized my SD userid in GBPVR config, but it is all lowercase at SD. Apparently it is case-sensitive. By getting them in-sync (ie lowercase in config.exe), the problem was corrected.

Thank you JavaWiz - That indeed was the problem. The GBPVR community comes through again!

It appears that ScheduleDirect saves your username as all lower case, even when you enter it with an upper case first letter when signing up. After that I could still log in with the upper case version from a browser, but I had to change to all lower case for it to work from GBPVR.

Obviously a peculiarity of ScheduleDirect in its present form.

I still can't get my listings to load with GBPVR regardless of the case of my username and password. Any suggestions? My account is active and I paid today via paypal.

Have you applied the the epg related changes in Sub's 1.0.16 Survival Guide?

I seem to have fixed my problem, by not only applying the patch but also using my username instead of my email address. It works great! Thanks everyone

Possum. I used my username instead of my email address and it worked like a charm.

Good find.
