I hate to mention this, since for the most part this is an awesome piece of software. Thanks tons.
I have a pvr250 and mvp. When playing back videos the service sometimes hangs. Resetting the service on the pc always fixes it. (So it is only a minor anoyance). Thought you would like to know about my experience anyway though.
Some patterns I have noticed.
if you get to far ahead of the system with up/downs on menus, or with ff/rw, this will occasionally cause it.
if the video you are trying to play was recorded in error and is a 0 length file, this also will hang the service.
In either case the menu just freezes and no further action will work. Am running the latest hauppage driver on a new system with almost no other software on it. It is recording to the windows drive (all thats in the machine so far).
Let me know if you would like me to hunt down and send logs when it happens again.
I guess I should also try and get a 100% repeatability sequence for you. I think the 0 length file is 100% repeatable. Will check.
I do software support so I know this is only preliminary info. I don't envy you trying to track down these intermittant problems.
