All support items for the Weather2 plugin go here.

Thanks!

EDIT1: I should have mentioned that you may want to delete or backup the icons in your media/WeatherIcon folder if you are using the original Weather plugin. The mapping of the icons is different, and I don't want people having issues with showing the wrong icons.

EDIT2: The "Local" radar is actually a "State" radar... I will be renaming that in the next release.

EDIT3: MVPs aren't working with this, no idea why.

EDIT4: Installer doesn't seem to be working with W7 systems. I will get a different installer to use.

EDIT5: Installer doesn't stop the recording service, so please do that before installing!

I tried to install the Weather2 plugin but got the errors in the attached file.

I deleted all the tasks associated with GBPVR via the Task Manager and was able to do the install. I think your Install program needs to stop the GBPVR proicesses during its installation.

After I installed Weather2 and configured it in CONFIG, there was a Weather2 subdirectory under the Community-SD directory but no files in it. I copied the files from the corresponding directory for the Blue skin into the Community-SD Weather2 directory and it runs OK. Either your Install program or the settings logic for Weather2 in CONFIG knew enough to create the skin directory but just didn't populate it.

I'm just beginning to play with it but like what I see so far.

Just installed and it works fine. I didn't stop the recording service (there were no recordings in progress) and had no problems. I'm using just the default Blue skin, so no complications there.

One suggestion: Add a few words to the wiki explaining that a profile is needed for each city/location for which you want the weather. I didn't quite get it at first.

Future wishlist: add locations from inside GBPVR. The new location could use a set of default radar/satellite/units-of-measure settings. For me, it would be OK to have to use Config to set these defaults, but it sure would be handy to add locations in GBPVR.

Nevertheless, good job!

Very very nice. Love it! I like your "todo list" on the wiki too (encouragement). Everything works sweet except; On the radar and comparing it with the accuweather webpage, it appears it is using the "State Radar" instead of the "Local Radar". My zip code is 49855 if you want to try it to see what I mean. Otherwise... Great Work!!!!

Looks great - thank you. Shame there is no detailed radar for non US sites - one day maybe...

Bit worried about the upcoming weather forecast for the UK. 20deg Celsius (68F) and snow is forecast..!

I installed Weather2 and it runs OK on my PC but it doesn't even appear on the Main Menu in GBPVR on my MVP. I power cycled the MVP and it still doesn't include Weather2 on its menu. I am using version 1.3.11 of GBPVR.

I use the Community-SD skin for both the PC and MVP. I even tried changing the MVP to the Blue skin but it still doesn't list Weather2 on the menu.

I'd give anything for either 68F OR Icy right now.

Here's my area's forecast.

Running W7 x64, I got an error on first install that flew by. I reinstalled and it completed. Then I get the enclosed error. I opened config and all the plugins were missing. Even uninstalling from control panel crapped out.
I can give more info if needed and am sorry to rush, got a meal and a cold beer waiting.
