Hi Forum

Try to figure this out. I just went from Windows2000 to windowsXP, so now I have installed GBPVR again. I have been using tvxb to grap the epg. This only worked if my channel number ordering was the same as the ordering in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune

However in the WindowsXP registry this key does not exist.

Can anyone give me a hint to why it is not present, and what to do to get it back,

Alternativly if there is any other danes out there. I would appreciate if you could tell me how and where you grab the the EPG. I am not sure if I found the best method

Thanks

If you have the frequencies for the channels, you can enter them in the channels screen in config-capture sources. You enter the frequency in the source channel source colum instead of the channel number. the frequency should be something like 176000000

Thank you for the tip. I will try that. Do you know if these settings persist when I load my xml file afterwards?

In the mean time I remembered how I did when first installing with windows 2000. I followed the "Semi-automatically specifying frequencies" procedure in the wiki:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...gAssistant

However this gives me an offset of one channel compared to what I expected, so I think I will use your method.

Thanks a lot

If you mean will the setting be saved to config.xml then yes (providing you OK out of the config app) - This will then be loaded when you start pvrx2.exe/gbpvr.exe

I don't think these settings are stored in config.xml but in the gbpvr.db3 or gbpvr.mdb database. With the xml file you mean the epg-data file? If so then: yes the frequency settings will persist.
