I've been reading a lot in the last three days about GB-PVR and Xmltv in the hope I could get things going without posting a message here but I'm really stumped now so I hope someone can help.
I'm using a PVR-250 with the Direct Recording plugin and the Xmltv Plugin for EPG. Over the past 24 hours I've downloaded and installed I-Xmltv, signed up with Schedules Direct and tried twice to download listings from them. I don't think I ever succeeded in downloading any listings although the DOS box did indicate listings were being downloaded. Afterwards, I was never able to get EPG setup in GB-PVR. Could never find the TVGuide.xml file and no channels are listed in GB-PVR. I read about a problem at SD with the newest version of GB-PVR (which I am running) so I installed the patch but still no channels. A short time ago I was looking through some of the log files and I found the following statement repeated again and again throughout the log:
"2007-10-08 04:06:08.209 ERROR [5] Caught unexpected exception: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: Unable to open the database file..." along with some additional information. Oh, the video part of GB-PVR works great. Have been able to watch a number of my MPEG files and have been pleased with the results. By the way, the OS is Windows XP Home, AMD Athlon, Nvidia graphics card, Asus A7V600 MB with 1 GB RAM.
Will greatly appreciate any help you can give.
