Thought I finally had everything ready to go but when I clicked on "Live TV", I got the above message. I'm using the PVR-250. I see all the channels for my cable system but I must have missed something or done something not quite right. I know the card works because I had watched TV with it earlier using a different application. Is any additional software required to enable gbpvr to talk tot he 250? I thought just the regular drivers was all that was needed.

You can get this error if you kill GB-PVR while its watching live tv, then restart it and try immediately to view live tv. Under this scenario it takes the recording service about thirty seconds to realise the process originally using the card has gone, then it'll free the card up for reuse. Could this be what caused your problem? If not, then reproduce the problem and repost the logs and I'll take a look.

No, the problem you cited does not apply here. I've just installed GB-PVR and have never watched TV with it. I've attached all of the logs but probably the most useful ones will be those from early 10/9 as I didn't have any channels setup before that. I was trying to use an external xmltv app as I wasn't aware there was support for SD within GB-PVR. (All the Wiki docs talked about using xmltv.)

Winzip insist on adding a password which is "gbpvr1016" (without the quotes, of course).

when you selected the card in config did the card show up when you ticked only show cards on this machine ?
have you also checked that you have a buffer file selected that actually exists?
what happens if you try to record something ?

Sorry, but you'll need to enable log flushing in the config app, then repeat the problem and repost the logs.

Stustunz,

Yes to both questions. I assume in referring to the buffer you're referring to the recording directory and/or the live tv buffer directory. Even though I received the message about no tuners available, I did try recording early this morning. GB-PVR appeared to be recording but when I checked, there was nothing in either directory.

Sub,

Ok, I think I did what you requested. I checked the option to flush the log files to disk and then reproduced the problem. Thanks for you efforts to help resolve this problem.

Can you check if you get live tv by going to the TV Guide, hitting 'ok' on a current show, then clicking 'watch'?

No, I still get the same message about no tuners being available. I should mention that there was no "ok" in the TVGuide. I just clicked on the program and that brought up a dialog box with detailed info about the program and several choices, one of which is 'watch'. I clicked on 'watch' and the message about no tuners come up.
