I was looking into the (to me) sudden filling of my system hard drive yesterday. It turns out that my gbpvr.db3 file is 18,414,639 kilobytes. Is there any way to put this back to a reasonable number. I can't believe that tv listings and configuration information for the tv cards require 18 gig.

Thanks

This isnt common at all, but there have been a couple of reports of happening over the last year or so. You can fix it by downloading SQLiteSpy, then opening the gbpvr.db3 file, then selecting the Vacuum Database menu option.

I tried vacuum on the file and it seems to have grown.

At this point do I just remove all sources and EPG information and start over?

I'd make sure all software using the database is stopped. Bring up the Windows task list and kill any running instance of GBPVR.exe, PVRX2.exe, Config.exe or GBPVRRecordingService.exe, then try again.

If it still doesnt seem to shrink, you might have to delete the file, then go into the config app and recreate your capture sources, which will effectively start you again from scratch with an empty database.
