I just downloaded the program, and I'm trying to configure it. I've been following the wiki guide, but I've seem to run into some problems during the EPG setup. I added a new recording source and these are the details:

Capture Card Type: Haup. HVR-1800MCE
Board Number: #1
Source: Internal Tuner Tuning: Cable

Then I registered at Schedules Direct and set up EPG Source according to this: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/I-xmltvForSD

But when I hit the "Update EPG" button, nothing happens. No channels are listed. Any ideas? Thanks.

edit: Also while running the -configure.bat, after I enter my username it asks for my password, but it won't let me type anything. If I hit enter the window immediately closes.

in dos prompts the password may not display, so type your password then hit enter, i would bet that it is actually remembering the password.

Hit the 'update epg' button in the config app, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

I've never used I-xmltv so couldnt answer that one, but if you've never managed to configure it, then it probably means you've never downloaded the listings...which would explain why GB-PVR isnt pulling in your channels when you hit 'Update EPG'

Ok, so the password was just not showing. I got the channel listings and everything.

But when I try to watch live tv I get "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

??

I got the EPG working and everything.

Here's the line from GBPVR.exe.log when I try to watch Live TV though:

Code:
2007-10-29 00:27:45.937    ERROR    [1]    Error: msg=0x202 (WM_LBUTTONUP) hwnd=0x1a0334 wparam=0x0 lparam=0xd10079 result=0x0  :  System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

It looks like you've either selected the wrong card type, or the drivers for the device arent installed.

Can you run filtercheck then zip and attach the filtercheck.log? http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Well I don't know what's going on now because I just tried to use Win TV and I got some default image and the cable wasn't working. It was working last time I rebooted though... I included a screen cap of what I mean with the log.

edit: I'll try installing the latest drivers off the Hauppauge site, but I'll have a wait over an hour for a 50MB file due to their shitty speeds.
