New setup and I have never tried this before so it's probably easily fixed but I can't find it.

I select a program from the guide, select "record" and gbpvr starts to record. I then go back up the menu and select "Live TV". I get a warning that I only have one tuner so I can either watch nothing or watch what is recording. I select watch what is recording and I get nothing, or more precisely a black screen with no sound.

Any ideas?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Unfortunately the logs dont contain the info I was looking for. You'll need to enable log flushing in the config app, then reproduce the problem and repost the logs.

Try running the ReRegisterFilters.bat file first though, it might fix the problem.

I cant see any sign of problems in those logs. The first thing I'd try is different decoders to see if these make any difference. If not, then I'd try downloading/installing the Cyberlink or ATI mux, and select it on the misc tab of the config app. If you go with the Cyberlink on, I'd suggest 5.0.1307. Sorry but you'll have to spell that out for me. Which decoders are we talking about? The Playback tab in Config? The hardware decoder? The Video decoder? I'm an engineer but a complete PVR greenhorn.

Audio/video decoders on the playback tab of the config app.

If that doesnt help follow my advice above about switching to the ATI or Cyberlink mux.

in the playback tab try a different video decoder
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm free mpeg decoder seems to be very good to get thing up and going

try this first then try changing the mux on the last tab but you first have to download and register one on your system
there is a tool in the gbpvr drop down menu (bda mux checker) to check if you have a mux installed
im guessing that you are using dvb-t that uses a mux to save the file you have to go to the link sub gave you download a mux the 1307 is the most popular result
heres a link on how to register it http://www.free-codecs.com/guides/How_to..._files.htm
